Salary: Up to $100,000 annually (DOE)

Our Carlsbad-based law firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic and collaborative legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with dedicated attorneys on a mix of complex litigation and corporate counsel matters in a professional, supportive environment.

Position Overview

The Legal Secretary will provide high-level administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys, playing a critical role in ensuring matters run efficiently and deadlines are met with precision.

What You'll Do

  • Support multiple attorneys across litigation and corporate counsel practices
  • Assist with corporate counsel work, including drafting and managing correspondence
  • Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
  • Maintain accurate court calendaring and ensure timely filing of legal documents
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, meetings, and trial logistics
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files with meticulous attention to detail
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a litigation legal secretary (required)
  • Strong working knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court calendaring (preferred)
  • Proficiency with legal software and document management systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to manage competing priorities
